For as long as I can remember I have always loved to draw. I have vivid childhood memories of going out for Sunday lunch and my mum handing me a piece of paper and a pen to draw and doodle on (I often drew the same horse over and over again). In school, art was my favourite lesson and one in which I always looked forward to. I studied art all the way to sixth form and even went to the Arts Institute Bournemouth for a foundation diploma year after sixth form, during which I delved into photography, illustration, life drawing, fashion and other subjects. Unfortunately, at the time I knew I wanted to paint but the tutors tried to push me into illustration and ultimately I chose not to continue with a degree there as a result. From there, I went to the University of Winchester and gained my Bachelors Degree in English Literature and Creative Writing.

After leaving the Arts Institute Bournemouth I dabbled in painting, doing the odd commission for friends and family. It was only in November 2023 that I finally had the space for my own easel and the rest is history. I have been painting every week since, improving my skills, watching educational videos, reading art books and rekindling my love for all things artistic and paint related. I now paint in oils on canvas as much as possible to build my portfolio, harness my skills and spread a bit of colour throughout the world.
